Classes
can sign up for check out

Specific
lessons should be pre-arranged with the media specialist, and/or small
group instruction that correlates with the concept based unit.

The
media center has a variety of videos and televisions for teacher check
out, there is justification form that goes along with it and should be
submitted to the media specialist prior to the viewing.

The
media center has a roving laptop cart that can be checked out for
½ of a day. The sign up sheet is on
the circulation desk.
·
Digital
cameras and computer projectors are also available for check out. The sign up sheet is on the circulation desk.
·
Students
in grade K-2 can check out one book for up to two weeks and students in
grades 3-5 can check out up to 2 books. There
are no fines for overdue books but at report card distribution time,
any students who have overdue books will not receive their report card.
The book or a fee of $15 dollars must be collected before the report
card is released.
·
Teachers
can check out an unlimited amount of materials. These
include: books, maps, videos, laptop cart,
projector, listening station, digital cameras, video cameras and
televisions. Any teacher who loses any
materials will be charged the amount of the material.
The teacher can choose to pay cash or have the amount deducted
from their pay.

Ms.
Gwinn has been the media specialist at Parkside for 4 years now. Before that she was a first grade teacher at

permits students and teachers to use portions of copyrighted
materials for educational purposes
